WWOZ celebrates the naming of their new broadcast studio thanks to the generosity of The Helis Foundation, a longtime supporter of the station with a history of advancing access to the arts and continuing a family legacy of philanthropic support to the New Orleans community.

“The Helis Foundation Broadcast Studio is the heart of the station where WWOZ’s 75 volunteer Show Hosts broadcast 24 hours a day and share New Orleans music, heritage, and culture with our worldwide audience”, said Beth Arroyo Utterback, General Manager.  “In addition to the station’s award-winning musical programming, the studio will host hundreds of musicians, culture bearers and non-profits each year for compelling interviews and to help promote upcoming local events in the community.”
