Country Roads: See the Botanical Garden vibrantly lit with colorful lights, fire baskets, and more

Evenings with Enrique advertisement

Every Wednesday in October, the New Orleans Botanical Garden in City Park extends its hours and invites all to marvel not only at the garden’s luscious beauty and sculptures, but too see them enhanced under special lighting and fire baskets suspended from the oak trees. Kitchen in the Garden will be open and serving food and drinks for purchase every week, and on October 28 special guest Hugo Montero will join in to create a Día de los Muertos (Day of the Dead) altar. Yoga, tai chi, and meditation will be offered in other parts of the garden each Wednesday, as well. Free for Louisiana residents, courtesy of The Helis Foundation. 5–9 pm.
